The purpose of women’s health physiotherapy is to achieve optimal function and strength of the pelvic floor muscles and connective tissue, improve the strength and coordination of the abdominal, thigh, groin muscles and diaphragm, optimise mobility of the pelvis, lumbar spine and hip joints, achieve good bladder, bowel and sexual health, and restore normal breathing patterns.
